Sandeep Marwah had been fascinated by the style and colours of the uniform. He had his own ways to wear one or the other uniform from outside the bounds of stage and television too with a clearly defined responsibility towards the public.

  • Appointed Special Police Officer in the Delhi Police
  • Served as a Duty Officer for the Delhi Samaaj
  • Appointed as a Battallion Commander for the paramilitary force, the Delhi Home Guards
  • Was the Youngest District Commandant (equipment to Lt Col in the Indian Army) in Delhi Home Guards
  • Commanded 4500 strong force people in the uniform as the District Commandant for the South and the South West district in Delhi
  • Was nominated Member of the Selection Board for Recruitment of Home Guards on eight occasions
  • Commanded Eight National Parades of the Delhi Home Guards with Chief Guests as the Director General Delhi Home Guards, Lt Governor Delhi, Director General Delhi Police and the Home Minister of the Union Government of India
  • Was the only officer to be presented with the Sword of the Forces
  • Commanded the republic Day Parade in 1984
  • Was nominated for President's Award on 15th Aug 1985
  • Was awarded a number of Commendation Certificates and Appreciation letters for best turn out, parade, drills and exercises
  • Was nominated as an Instructor to the Forces by the Director General Home Guards
  • Was nominated Public Relations Officer of the DGH by the Director General Home Guards
  • Appointed Controller Delhi during the time of riots in 1984
  • Appointed Inspecting Officer for all Police Stations in Delhi
